Skype is a computer application which will allow you talk to others free. With the free application, you can carry out:

  • Skype-to-Skype calls
  • Video calls
  • Conference calls (Skype users only)
  • Instant messaging
  • Screen sharing
  • Call transfer
  • Sending files
  • Call and text friends directly from your Facebook News Feed and Phonebook in Skype

However, you can expand the capability of Skype through purchased features to include:

  • Call phones and mobile phones
  • Conference calls to phones and mobile phones
  • Get a Skype number that others can call
  • Voicemail to record missed calls
  • Call forwarding, forward calls to another phone when you are not online
  • Caller ID, show it’s you calling when you call someone’s number
  • Call transfer to phones and mobile phones
  • Group video calling
  • Send text messages

Essential Requirements

You can use Skype from multiple devices to include Windows, Mac, and Linux computers. You can also access Skype from various smart phones and iPads. it is possible to run Skype from your high definition TV from LG, Panasonic or Samsung.
