University of Wyoming Extension Address Book - Display County Location

Introduction

Recently, a question was asked if the county office where individual works could be included in the University of Wyoming Extension address book. This information is available in the address book, but does not display automatically. The address cards can be modified to display this information. See Figure 2 for an example. Take the following steps to display the county office location. These instructions take approximately five minutes to complete.

Customize the Address Cards

The default view for the University of Wyoming Extension address book are address cards. The view is customized to display the office location.

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook.
  2. Click the Folder List icon.
  3. Highlight the CES address book.
  4. Click View > Current View > Customize Current View. The View Summary dialog box displays.
  5. Highlight Office Location in the Available fields list. The list is in alphabetic order. (Note: When the office location field does not display in the available fields list, click the Select available fields from down arrow.
  6. Highlight Frequently used fields. Look for the office location field again. If it still is not included, click the Select available fields from down arrow, and highlight All Contact Fields.)
  7. Click the Add button. The office location field moves to the Show these fields in this order list.
  8. Highlight Office Location.
  9. Click the Move Up button until office location is beneath the mailing address field. See Figure 1. Click the image to enlarge it.
  10. Click OK twice to close the dialog boxes.
