Joining a community

Joining communities of interest, institutions, and communities of practice are great ways to informally learn as well as share your expertise with others.

Finding a community

Before you can join a community, you must first find a community that fits your interests.

There are a number of ways to locate a community that fits your interests. Communities can be located through a search engine, or by browsing the entire list of communities and institutions or browsing the list of eXtension Communities of Practice.

Joining a community

Once you locate a community, simply click on the community name. Within a tan colored box, you will have an option to join the community or indicate an interest in the community.

If the group is moderated, someone from the group will have to approve your membership to the community.
