Raising poultry, selling eggs at farmers markets and processing home-grown chickens are among topics at a free workshop in Powell Saturday, April 19.
Sessions are 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Powell Research and Extension Center at 747 Road 9.
University of Wyoming Extension educator Hudson Hill in the morning will cover selecting and caring for poultry and in the afternoon discuss processing poultry. Chelle Schwope, Wyoming Consumer Protection specialist, will explain Wyoming poultry slaughter requirements and review egg grading.
Pre-registration is required, and lunch is on your own.
