Powell brown bag seminars include grapes, recycled garden art

Grapes, wild gardens and recycled glass garden art are among topics at brown bag seminars in Powell this month and February.

Sessions are noon to 12:50 p.m. each Wednesday at the Powell Library beginning Jan. 15, according to Sandra Frost, UW Extension educator in Park County.

The schedule is:

Jan. 15 – Early seeding for our growing season, by Nancy Ryan, Park County Master Gardener

Jan. 22 – How to grow the best potatoes, by Sariah Bronson, Park County Master Gardener

Jan. 29 – Create a successful butterfly garden, by Frost

Feb. 5 – Recycled glass garden art, by Rita Lewis and Rhonda McClean, Park County Master Gardener

Feb. 12 – Grapes before wine, by Joyce Johnston, UW horticulturist

Feb. 19 – Personalize stationery with flower pounding, by Linda Pettengill and Jo Anne Arzillo, Park County Master Gardener

Feb. 26 – The wild garden – Creating a natural garden with wildflowers, by Dan Wasp, Park County Master Gardener
