Scott Cotton began Monday, Jan. 6, as the University of Wyoming Extension area educator serving Converse, Natrona and Niobrara counties.
He will focus on livestock and small-acreage programming.
A Sheridan native, Cotton attended Sheridan College and received dual bachelor degrees in animal science, agricultural journalism and range at the University of Wyoming. He also holds a master’s degree in range ecology from UW.
Cotton began his career at UW and went on to positions with Colorado State University Extension and the University of Nebraska. He served as an extension educator in his most recent position providing educational programs in a four-county area covering livestock, agricultural security and youth programs.
