Applications are being accepted for the 2013-2014 class of the Lincoln County Leadership Institute.
The deadline is 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, said Mary Martin, UW Extension community development educator. Applications can be submitted to the Lincoln County extension office in Afton.
The seven-month program meets monthly from October to April, and classes focus on personal leadership skill development, understanding community issues, resources and diversity.
Participants engage in activities with community groups that represent education, government, healthcare and non-profit organizations during monthly community-based experiences, Martin said.
The program seeks to build personal leadership skills and to facilitate community leadership.
Application forms and additional information are available at the Lincoln County extension offices, the Town of Kemmerer and Star Valley Chamber of Commerce. The class is limited to 20, and tuition is $150. Attendance is required at the first session Wednesday, Oct. 9, in Cokeville.
