Laramie session teaches leafy green cooking techniques

Hands-on, guided kitchen instruction using leafy greens grown in the Laramie area will be offered in a program by UW Extension in partnership with Laramie Local Foods and Bright Agrotech.

The session is 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, in the Albany County office of UW Extension at the fairgrounds.

“Working together as a group to prepare leafy greens in different ways and then tasting them is an efficient, fun and non-committalstep toward putting dietary recommendations into practice,” said Saenz, nutrition and food safety extension educator serving southeast Wyoming. “Leave motivated and confident to getting more greens on your plate.”

All materials are provided. There is no fee, but RSVPs are required due to limited kitchen space.
